Meet Alicia Stephens Martin
Award-Winning Author • Educator • Former Salon Owner • Freelance Writer
Alicia Stephens Martin is a storyteller at heart, blending humor, heart, and strong female characters into every chapter she writes. A former educator and the longtime owner of Rubee Z Salon, Alicia now dedicates her time to writing full-time, producing novels and freelance pieces featured in various publications.
Although life transformed beyond their Pennsylvania farm for them both, Alicia keeps the barn boots close, volunteering at Talisman Therapeutic Riding Facility, Maryland, a place offering hope and resilience through horses.

Her newest series, The Silver Cowgirls, celebrates friendship, reinvention, and second chances. The first book received literary recognition, and the adventure continues in The Silver Cowgirls Ride Again, available now!
Alicia holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Creative Writing and has published an interactive children’s workbook for the salon called Let’s Go to the Hairstylist. Her short fiction and non-fiction stories have been published in Salon Ovation Magazine and PBA Progress, and her non-fiction piece
“Healing in a Pocket” won the prestigious Bob Hoffman writing award. Her articles have also been published in PA Equestrian, East Coast Equestrian, From Whispers to Roars, The Plaid Horse and On the Bit.
